Fixr was founded by SwiftServe Group Ltd, based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The idea was simple: finding a trustworthy tradesperson should be as easy as ordering a taxi.
We were tired of the alternatives — hour-long phone queues, tradespeople who never call back, no way of knowing who was actually coming to your home, cash-in-hand cowboys with no insurance. Customers deserved better.
So we built Fixr. A platform where every engineer is vetted before they touch a job, every job is photographed and documented, every payment is automatic and transparent, and every customer can see exactly who is coming and when.
We started in Suffolk because that is where we are from. We cover Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Newmarket, Sudbury, Haverhill, Stowmarket, Thetford, Cambridge and all surrounding villages and towns. We are expanding fast.
Every engineer on Fixr is DBS checked, holds the right qualifications, and carries valid insurance. We check everything ourselves. You should never have to ask “is this person safe?” — the answer is always yes.
No hidden fees, no shock bills. You see the running total as the job progresses and you sign off before a single penny is charged. The engineer, their rating, and the full job record are all visible to you.
